COMPOST TIME! Yahi (rotate screen if reading on a smartphone)

Hi to all garden and compost lovers!

I hope everyone is doing well.

It feels like we’re heading towards a better season, hopefully in a broader sense.

What about celebrating by getting back to composting again?

In order to get the big black tumbler ready for new kitchen scraps, we need to harvest the mature compost sitting in it, sift it and store it for future use.

For those who have not done it before, we’ll use a shovel to pull out the mature compost, sift it through our large home made sieve, fill up some dedicated tote bins.

Arrange the bin for the new batch.

This operation takes altogether about 1 ½ hours. It needs two people

I am available

Saturday March 13 between 10:00 am and 1:00pm

Friday March 19 starting around 3:30pm

Saturday March 20 am
