NOTE ABOUT SHREDDED PAPER

A note to all the people in the building who contribute SHREDDED PAPER to the compost.

We thank you for your it.

Please only donate it if it has NO PLASTIC PIECES (envelope windows, credit cards etc). As it happens, plastic is not compostable and will make the decomposition process of our compost very difficult and slow.

Green Compost tumbler is OPEN to:

- fruit & vegetable scraps - coffee grounds & tea bags - green plants - garden trimmings - fresh leaves & flowers - grass clippings - bread & grains - egg shells - nutshells - corncobs - manure & bedding from plant eating animals ONLY

- food-soiled paper towels & napkins - shredded newspaper, brown bags and egg cartons - potting soil - fall leaves, twigs - straw & hay - dry plant material - pine needles
